Who we are

We are a women-led softball organization dedicated to developing confident, skilled athletes in a positive and supportive environment. Our programs are built by women who understand the game, the challenges young players face, and the importance of strong role models both on and off the field.

Through clinics, training sessions, and development programs, we emphasize fundamental softball skills, game awareness, and mental toughness while fostering teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence. We believe athletes learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Our coaching philosophy centers on clear instruction, age-appropriate development, and respect for every player. We strive to create a space where girls feel empowered to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate progress. Whether an athlete is new to softball or working toward the next level, our goal is to help her build a strong foundation, love the game, and believe in herself.

OurStory

Phoenix Legacy Fastpitch began with a vision from Coach Meg. Having played the game herself and previously coached teams led entirely by non-parent women who grew up playing softball, she recognized the impact strong female leadership can have on young athletes. She also saw a gap in the Tampa Bay Area—there were very few, if any, women-led softball organizations.

Determined to change that, Coach Meg created Phoenix Legacy Fastpitch with the goal of providing high-quality clinics led by knowledgeable female coaches and building a foundation for future teams. Through clinics and training opportunities, she aims to grow the organization, expand its reach, and ultimately create competitive teams that reflect the values of confidence, leadership, and empowerment.

The color purple in our organization’s logo was chosen with deep intention, in honor of Coach Ron—a man who has not only faced his battle with cancer with incredible strength, but who has also been a guiding, father-like presence in Coach Meg’s life. His resilience, leadership, and unwavering belief have shaped her into the coach she is today. More than anyone, he has influenced her growth both on and off the field, and this organization carries pieces of his impact in everything it stands for. The phoenix in our logo represents rising from the ashes and becoming stronger through adversity, while the purple serves as a tribute to Coach Ron’s fight, his spirit, and the lasting mark he continues to leave on Coach Meg, this organization, and the community.
